At Drain Master we take Health and Safety very seriously.

Before we even start work we always do a risk assessment and take all appropriate steps to eliminate the risks to you, the public and our staff. We put up signs and cordon off working areas and we use high visibility clothing, hard hats and protective clothing as necessary.

Our teams work in pairs ensuring one is always above ground to raise the alarm or make a rescue should fumes overcome the other or they become injured or trapped. Staff working underground wear safety harnesses, carry breathing apparatus and keep in touch using walkie talkies. Some staff are trained in first aid because we believe it's better to be safe than sorry.

Remember too that blockages and sewage spills present a serious risk to your health and to the health of your family, friends and customers. Pets and other animals are also at risk from raw sewage.
